Impact Model

impact

Growing potential and capabilities of young women
- the generation of today -
as lifelong leaders

impact

Edu-leaders enrich learning experiences of children
– the generation of tomorrow –
for their lifelong success

impact

Edu-leaders influence educational
practices through parental engagement
and learn to network for change

In the short-term, i-Saksham builds community edu-leaders under a 2-year fellowship program to empower others through education. These young women improve their subject knowledge, learn modern pedagogy tools (सीखें) and impart quality education to children by catering to multi-level learning needs (सिखाएं). Children achieve grade-appropriate competencies.

In the long-term, the fellowship program acts as a stepping-stone for young women to build their capabilities to pursue their aspirations, attain higher education, become a mainstream education professional or a long-term community change agent. From the sensitized youth of today, they become engaged parents of tomorrow, continuing to lead the change in the community.

Children demonstrate academic commitment and pursue learning with increased confidence. With their re-kindled passion for education, they serve as edu-leaders of tomorrow and emerge as self-reliant individuals.

The continuous demonstration of delivery of quality education in the marginalized communities infuse the belief that community participation can bring change and hence creates collective sense to take leadership.

Hence a virtuous cycle emerges.
